Doula Services

Congratulations! You're expecting a baby! You may be thinking about the big day (your birth!) and wondering what it will be like. You may have some hopes and some fears about how it will all go. You've looked up information on the internet, only to find an endless mass of contradicting facts.

Wouldn't it be nice to have someone to listen to your hopes and fears? To answer your questions soundly with reason and evidence based resources? To educate you on normal birth and labour processes? To support you and your partner to make sure that that big day is one of the best ones you can remember? To provide methods to try to speed your labour up and reduce your pain?

Then you need a Doula!

Why Get A Doula?

Okay, okay. What exactly is a Doula?

A Birth Doula is a labour support person. They are non-medical, and there to support you throughout your pregnancy, your birth, and your initial postpartum period. This time in your life doesn't exactly come with a rulebook, but it comes with a Doula, which is almost the same thing. Doula's are there to support you and your partner educationally, emotionally, and physically. They can provide answers to your questions, listen to your hopes and fears, and physically help you and your partner to get through labour and birth.

Sounds pretty awesome, right?!

How much do Doulas cost?

I charge for Doula work based on a sliding scale, because I believe everyone should have a Doula at their birth.

This means that you can choose any number within that range, and my services will not change. This allows everyone to choose a number that works for their own family. No judgement here- only support. Ever.
